WHATS IN MY MAKEUP BAG

Happy sunday people!!! Nothing so interesting about this post but I still want to post it because its nice to see what is essential to girls...I feel its my duty to share what is essential to me that I bring it everywhere I go.

This is my makeup bag that I used on daily basis. Nothing fancy about this, I just like it because its not too big and it can fit everything I need. And it fit nicely in all my handbags.

Here some of the things that I will not leave my house without!

- My Chanel Mat Lumiere Perfection to help me with my shine throughout the day
- YSL Baby doll kiss and blush in number 2, to make sure im always flush..hehe
- my favourite nude lipstick, rimmel kate moss in 03
- Revlon Color Stay concealer, for one of those day when Im having a long day and need to..ehem..cover up some few things.
- benefit BADgal pencil eyeliner
-and a brush to do the blending job.

I normally dont really touch up my makeup throughout the day, but when Im going for a meeting or straight to dinner after work, it really helps to freshen up my face.

- Travalo...this one, i will definitely bring it everywhere I go.. I can leave the house without makeup, but not without perfume....currently this one i refill it with my all time favorite perfume, Burberry sheer.
-  L'occitane hand cream, to keep my hand moisturize at all times. Loving the rose smell btw
- To keep me at ease from all the germ, I have my BBW in shortcake
- Mouth spray, you know after you had that oh so delicious garlic bread, you need to freshen up your breath before you kill everyone with stinky breath.
- I also keep atleast one perfume sample to try.

This is quite TMI but its very essential especially when you are travelling.

- panty liner, you know...to keep you fresh and clean
- Oxy oil control film
- feminine wash..you never know when you really need them.
- hair comb...because sometime your hair need a little taming

My Take on Victoria Secret "Make It Last Prime & Set Makeup Spray"

Product information
Palette : Victoria Secret "Make It Last Prime & Set Makeup Spray" setting spray
Price : RM 60 at Victoria Secret Outlet (before GST ya...)
Claim : Budge Proof to make makeup last long, provides a smooth seamless makeup application

I have never really tried or be interested in Victoria Secret makeup line. but I was looking for a cheaper alternative for Urban Decay setting spray. I love Urban Decay Setting spray especially the "All Nighter". So when I saw this at Victoria Secret, was kinda excited to try it. and honestly it is quite a disappointing product.

I have tried this several time and really tried to like it. But its just a total fail for me. For a start, when I sprayed it on my face, though I shut my eyes, its still kinda stingy on my eyes. Then as you wait for it to dry, it became sticky and not comfortable on your face. Not only that, after it dries, yes it sets your makeup , but you can also see the dry patches on your face when you normally dont using the same makeup.

sooooo...im gonna pass on this product.

Make up Collection for Beginners

First time wearing makeup can be a little scary because you’re not use to it and honestly wearing makeup attracts attention and you don’t feel comfortable people noticing you in a certain way. Well at least that's how I felt when I first started wearing makeup. In my opinion wearing makeup does not mean that you are not comfortable or confident in your own skin. In fact, you need confident to wear makeup.
Now most beginners make a mistake of not knowing which product to buy for their first time. I would suggest you bring someone who you trust to be an expert when it comes to makeup. You first need to know what is your skin type before you can know which products would suit you best. If you have very sensitive skin, please get advice from your dermatologist the contents of products you should avoid.

These are the drugstore products that I am using and would recommend to those who want to start collecting makeup

1)      Borjouis Healthy mix serum foundation – suitable for dry to combination skin, it is light to medium coverage, its very natural on your skin and easy to apply
2)     Hada Labo BB cream – for those who are still not confident enough to wear foundation but still want a tiny bit of coverage, this is perfect for you. Not only does it last all day long, its light coverage and it has SPF 50

3)   Sleek Blusher in Life's a Peach. Sleek blusher is one of my favourite blusher, the quality is very good and the color pay off is just nice which makes it perfect for beginners because you don’t have to worry that you accidentally put too much on.
4) Nyx stick blush is also great for those who prefer cream blush

5)      Maybeline Lashionista Mascara – my favourite mascara is actually the maybeline falsie but for beginner, i would suggest this mascara because it doesn't volumise your lashes, it just lengthen it for the natural look.

6)      Wet n Wild Megaslick – the colour is very natural, it does not dry out your lips but after a while it gives a nice tint so you don’t have to keep on reapplying your lipstick.

7)      Collection Lasting Perfection concealer – THE best drug store concealer EVER!!  I love it! And its cheap! and great for beginners

8)      Maybeline Color tattoo in “on and on bronze” – perfect for beginner because it doesn’t require blending, it looks good on its own and perfect for everyday wear
9)      Wet n wild eyeshadow palette in E380B – actually they have a lot more other natural colors that you can choose from, this is one of it. This is perfect for beginners who wants to create color transition and depth. It tells you which color to put where. Of course once you get the hang of it and want to try something diff, you can.

Please don’t feel the pressure of buying everything at one go, start slowly. If you want to know more about applying makeup, there a lot of youtube videos that teaches you how.

Last but not least, have fun with it!!

LIP ADDICT TAG

First of all I'd like to wish everyone a Happy February!! how time flies...it feels like just yesterday we welcomed 2015..we are now on the second month of the year!!

Why not? Why not start my february blog with  a lip addict tag and share with all of you what are the lip products that Im currently obsess with and which lip product doesn’t work for me. Because like most other girls..i am obsess with lip products. so without further a due lets jump right into it!!!

1.       Favourite balm/lip treatment
Vaseline. Never fail to fix my chap lips...I’ll use this before I go to sleep and the next morning my lip is moisturise and so easy to put on lipstick

2.       Best eye catching red
Definitely my Rouge Coco Chanel lipstick in Gabriel. It was a gift from my lovely friend and I love the classic red of it. Somehow this red make me feel like a woman..gives confident.

3.       Best Luxury and Best Drug Store
Best Luxury of course none other than my YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in number 12...I really really love this lipstick! So moisturising, the staying power is really good, and plus point for me is I love the smell of it.

Best drug store I would choose the Revlon just bitten kissable. I love how moisturising it is and the staying power surprisingly is very good even after you had your meal!

4.       Best Mac Lipstick
Its quite difficult for me two choose between these two, ravishing and brave, they’re both my favourite mac lipsticks but because I lost my Brave lipstick (sob, sob)...Im gonna have to go with Ravishing.I really like the orange-gy nude tone to it. Most nude colours would make me look pale. I particularly love ravishing is because it really makes your whole look , look feminine and it goes well with any skin tone color.

5.       The most disappointing
Revlon color stay lipstick. I love the color stay range especially the foundation, one of the best drug store foundation ever made. However the lipstick is very much disappointing for me. First few minute of application, it looks really good and it feels as though it is moisturising but after awhile it became so dry, what makes it looses its point is that once it set on your lips, it sooo drying and it empahsize the dryness of your lips....no no...not a pretty look.

1.       Liner, yes or no?

I was never really a big fan of lip liner so I don’t own a lot of it. But I am currently experimenting with lip liner to see if I like it or not.

2.       Best Gloss
Im not a lip gloss person either. Im either lipstick or lip stain person. But if you ask me to pick which lip gloss I wore the most, in other words the best for me, I would choose the NYX mega shine lip gloss, I like that it is not sticky, and it is quite pigmented and can wear it without lipstick.

3.       Something extra

I like exfoliating my lips with a tooth brush, it can really remove the dead skin and your lips feel so soft and make lipstick application much more fun!!

BEGINNER GUIDE - ACCESSORIES

So im gonna come up with a blog series call beginner guide...it can be anything from fashion, makeup, lifestyle...etc...I am not saying that I am an expert in any of this nor do I have the qualification for this. Im just doing this base on my experience and what I wish I knew when i first started with all these jazz....Truthfully I wish I had this beginner guide in my life...probably would have help me a lot in avoiding some disastrous makeup, fashion and a whole lot more of other things.
The first series, Im going to start with is accessories. To those who just started experimenting with fashion would like some beginner guide on what kind of accessories to get because to be buying all the accessories to match all of your outfit would be expensive. So here are some of my tips on what kind of accessories that you might need for you to glam up your outfit!

Necklace.
Necklace play an important part of the outfit, it can really dress up your outfit without much effort.

1)      Dainty necklace – dainty necklace is essential for every women and girls. It tells what your personality and it has meaning behind it. It can be either costume made to your name, pendant design to suit your personality. It also can be layered with other necklace.

2)      Gold chain necklace – great for corporate look. Bored of your boring suit corporate look? Glam it up with this type of necklace, its  very inexpensive, you can actually get it in H&M for less than RM 40. Its great to glam up a boring office look without looking overboard.  It actually make you look like a lady boss.

3)      Statement necklace  –   each one of us will need statement necklace, like its name, it create a statement to your outfit, its basically the chunky, oversized necklace. You can wear your most basic outfit and the moment you put the necklace on, it immediately elevate you to another fashionista level. For those who just started experimenting, I would suggest you choose colour and design that are not so va va voom as it is a lot easier to match with your outfits.

4)      Pearl Necklace  – How can you ever go wrong with pearl necklace. I say pearl necklace is essential for every ladies collection. There’s no way you can ever go wrong with pearl necklace. This is probably my most worn necklace. I love how it can turn your outfit to look classy and elegant.  Even when you are wearing a polo t-shirt, it makes you look like a princess...its magical! Uhhh just love it!

5)      Collar necklace – This is fairly new trend. Its basically the necklace that you wear as a collar or underneath your collar depending on the design. There are lots of design out there for collar necklace.

  Earings
The best subtle way to accessorize but still able to elevate your style

1)       Pearl Earings – again how can you go wrong with this?

2)      Small diamond earing – it doesn’t have to be original diamond, unless you have the budget for it. Its perfect for office look. Its effortless but still looks put together.

3)      Statement earing – or as I would like to call it fun earing. something chunky, something I wouldn’t really wear on a daily basis but would wear when i want to have fun with my outfit

4)      Chunky diamond earing – Again it doesn't have to be diamond , it can look like something similar, this is perfect  for when you are going for a prestigious gala dinner event and you want to look like a million bucks. For a start, go for white diamond color or black, it can match most of the outfit so you don’t have to buy so many of them just to match your individual outfit

Accessories tip
-          when you are uncertain of the entire look, just put on a pearl necklace
-          avoid wearing too much accessories..keep it simple

Some of my favourite shops to get accessories with reasonable price
- H&M
- Forever 21
- Lovisa

My Take on Stila “Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Mind”

Product information
Palette : Stila “Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Mind”
Formula : Matte
Price : RM 169 at Sephora

The first time is saw this palette at  Sephora, I immediately fell in love with it. There was just something so classy and elegant about this particular palette. And anything that appears classy and elegant to me just get me excited. I was looking at it for a good 20 minutes the moment I saw it..no kidding. The colours are so neutral and its matte finish...and in me head....I immediately thought of Kate Middleton..because she is so effortlessly classy and thats how this palette spoke to me. I didn’t purchase it immediately but every single time I went to Sephora, I will go to Stila counter and just mesmerized it. Then finally after couple of weeks...couldnt help myself, I finally brought home this palette."with my excited dance"

It comes in 12 colours. From light, neutral to dark colours. All the colours are matte  and soooo easy to blend. Its pigmented but not very pigmented if you know what I mean. The colour pay off is just the right amount. So if you want it to be darker, you can build it up.

It is a perfect palette to create neutral looks and smokey looks. Im guessing I know which palette I will be bringing for my future holiday trips. My favourite color from this palette would be ‘perception’...on normal days where Im too lazy to put on makeup, I would normally use ‘perception’ , mascara and red lips...and im ready to go. I can think of soooo many elegant classy looks I can create using this palette. I know Im gonna get a wear out of this palette.

This are some of the looks you can create using this palette. Of course you can get creative and create your own looks

 Couldn't agree more. :)
